What is a Pegasus patch?
A pair of British Shoulder Patches, bearing the Pegasus emblem of Airborne troops. Featuring the Ancient Greek Hero Bellerophon, upon the winged horse Pegasus. This symbol continues to be the symbol of paratroopers within the British Army.
What does the Special Forces patch mean?
In the current Special Forces crest, the intersecting dagger represents the V-42 dagger issued to each member of the force. The encircling scroll which arches at the base bears the Special Forces motto “DE OPPRESSO LIBER” which is translated from Latin as “To Free the Oppressed.”

Spartan Pegasus is a multi-component, joint military exercise which validates U.S. Army Alaska’s unique capacity to conduct airborne operations and ground mobility in extreme arctic conditions.
