Thayetchaung (Burmese: သရက်ချောင်းမြို့) is a town in Burma belonging to the Tanintharyi region of southern Burma. Within the region, Thayetchaung is the capital of the homonymous township in Dawei District.
In 2014 it had a population of 11 305 inhabitants, about a tenth of the municipal population.
The present locality is a 1961 reconstruction of a settlement that was destroyed in World War II. The local economy is based on agriculture and fishing.
It is located on the eastern bank of the Tavoy River near its mouth, about 20 km south of the regional capital Dawei, on road 8 leading to Myeik.
